Perkmark helps you organize and share information you choose to record. It is not a bank, card issuer, financial adviser, transaction monitor, or guarantee that a benefit will be available or reimbursed. You remain responsible for checking issuer terms and making your own financial decisions.
Agreement and eligibility
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Perkmark mobile application, the website at perkmark.app, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By downloading, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
Perkmark is a trade name used by Ben Burgess. In these Terms, “Perkmark,” “we,” “us,” and “our” mean Ben Burgess, doing business as Perkmark, the developer and operator of the Service.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms on your behalf. You also need an eligible Apple device and Apple Account for the app, and iCloud must be available to use Perkmark Free sync. Do not use the Service if you cannot legally agree to these Terms.
What Perkmark provides
Perkmark is a manual organizational tool for recording and reviewing credit-card benefits, estimated values, usage history, and reset dates. Perkmark Free syncs your tracker through your private iCloud account. Perkmark Plus stores a shared tracker through Perkmark Cloud so accepted household members can collaborate. Perkmark does not connect to a bank or card account, retrieve transactions, verify purchases, submit claims, move money, or redeem benefits for you.
Some card and benefit templates may be provided for convenience. Templates are starting points only. You should review and customize them for your specific card, account, location, enrollment status, and issuer terms.
Subscriptions and billing
Perkmark Free costs $0. Creating a shared household requires Perkmark Plus, an auto-renewing monthly subscription purchased through Apple’s App Store. Before purchase, the App Store purchase sheet displays the current price and billing period, and the app displays any introductory free trial for which Apple says you are eligible. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation.
Perkmark Plus renews automatically unless the subscription owner cancels at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Apple may charge the renewal within 24 hours before that period ends. You can manage or cancel in Apple Account subscription settings. Trial eligibility is determined by Apple; if a trial applies, the app shows its duration and the post-trial price before purchase. Canceling prevents a future renewal but does not provide a prorated refund or extend a trial or billing period.
One Plus purchase covers the household created by the subscription owner, and accepted members do not need separate subscriptions. Household-management roles do not transfer responsibility for App Store billing. If Plus expires, shared product-data updates and new invitations stop, but existing members retain read, move-to-Free, and deletion access so they can recover their tracker. Restoring or renewing can resume Plus access.
Deleting a Perkmark account or the app does not cancel a subscription. The subscription owner must cancel through Apple. Apple handles payment processing, taxes, cancellations, and refund requests under its rules; Perkmark cannot issue an App Store refund directly.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy of information you enter, the security of your device and Apple Account, maintaining any additional backups you want, and confirming benefit eligibility and deadlines directly with the applicable issuer or provider.
Do not enter full payment-card numbers, security codes, account passwords, bank credentials, government identification numbers, or other information that Perkmark does not request. If you record a name, profile photo, card relationship, or other information about another person, or invite someone by email, you are responsible for having permission to do so.
Household members share a common tracker. Information an accepted member adds or changes may be visible to and changed by other accepted members. Owners can manage invitations, members, and roles. The subscription owner controls billing and may delete the shared household through account deletion, which removes access for everyone. Choose household members carefully and use the app’s move-to-Free option before leaving if you need a private copy of the tracker.
Financial information disclaimer
Perkmark is not a bank, lender, payment processor, card issuer, credit-reporting agency, financial planner, broker, tax adviser, or legal adviser. The Service does not provide financial, investment, credit, tax, or legal advice.
Values shown in the Service are estimates based on the information recorded in the app. They do not represent cash balances, guaranteed savings, approved credits, or amounts owed by any issuer. Decisions involving a card account, purchase, fee, enrollment, or benefit should be based on official account information and professional advice where appropriate.
Third-party products and terms
Card benefits, fees, merchants, eligibility rules, enrollment requirements, deadlines, and redemption procedures can change at any time. Information in Perkmark may be incomplete, delayed, outdated, or inapplicable to your account. The card issuer’s current agreement and benefit terms control if there is any conflict.
References to card issuers, card products, merchants, services, or trademarks do not imply sponsorship, endorsement, or affiliation unless expressly stated. Third-party websites and services are governed by their own terms and privacy practices, and Perkmark is not responsible for them.
Acceptable use
You may use the Service only for lawful, personal, and household purposes. You may not:
- interfere with, damage, disable, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or related systems;
- reverse engineer or circumvent security or access controls except where applicable law expressly permits it;
- use automated means to scrape, copy, or overload the Service;
- misrepresent your identity, impersonate another person, or use the Service to violate another person’s rights; or
- use Perkmark content or data to build or train a competing commercial product without written permission.
Ownership and feedback
Perkmark and its software, visual design, text, branding, and other materials are owned by Perkmark or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Subject to these Terms, you receive a limited, personal, nonexclusive, nontransferable, revocable license to use the Service.
You retain your rights in information and photos you enter. You grant Perkmark and its service providers the limited, worldwide permission needed to host, store, process, transmit, sync, back up, and display that content solely to operate, secure, and improve the features you choose. For Plus content, that permission includes making the shared tracker available to accepted household members.
If you voluntarily send suggestions or feedback, you allow us to use the ideas without restriction or compensation. This does not give us permission to publish your name, support message, screenshot, or other personal information without a separate lawful basis or permission.
Changes and availability
Perkmark is evolving. We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features, templates, or the Service. We do not promise that the Service will always be available, error-free, compatible with every device, or that any specific feature will continue.
You may stop using the Service at any time and may delete your account in the app. Deleting a non-billing household member removes that profile and access but leaves the shared household tracker for the remaining household. Deleting the subscription owner’s account permanently deletes the shared household. Account deletion does not cancel App Store billing.
We may restrict access if reasonably necessary to protect the Service, comply with law, address fraud or abuse, or remedy a material violation of these Terms. Where practical, we will provide notice and an opportunity to move information to Free or delete it, but urgent security or legal circumstances may require immediate action.
Disclaimers and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Perkmark disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, noninfringement, accuracy, availability, and any warranties arising from course of dealing or usage of trade. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Perkmark will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; lost benefits, credits, savings, profits, data, or goodwill; or losses arising from reliance on benefit information, missed deadlines, device loss, or third-party conduct.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Perkmark’s total liability for claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid Perkmark for the Service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or US $100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
General terms and contact
These Terms and any additional terms presented for a feature form the agreement between you and Perkmark concerning the Service. If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms without our consent; we may transfer them as part of a reorganization, financing, merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
If you download Perkmark through Apple’s App Store, your license to the app is also subject to Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement unless App Store Connect presents a valid custom license agreement. These Terms govern Perkmark’s services and supplement that license. Apple is not responsible for providing support for Perkmark.
We may update these Terms as the Service changes. We will post the revised version with an updated date and provide additional notice for material changes when appropriate. Continuing to use the Service after updated Terms take effect means you accept them to the extent permitted by law.
